I just asked Roy because he did the plans for those gates and he doesn't have those but said he thought there are pics of them on the website already. I'll try to look tomorrow if you don't get anything.

How complex of a gate are you talking about? You can buy metal gates from Tractor Supply or any other farm supply type place (Agway, etc)

We need to construct sturdy gates using the design from NH Trails Bureau with a box to protect the lock. These gates will be placed in very remote locations.

Have you seen the gates at Cemetery Hill?

Have you seen the gates used by the NH Trails Bureau?

Its a 4x4 steel horizontal beam with U-Bolts used as hinges on one end and a hole for the locking shaft on the other. The cross beam has reflective tape on it.

The 2 posts are 8' long with 4' sunk into the ground and cemented. One has another u-bolt for the cross beam and the other has the lock box. The lock box is an backwards C for the cross beam to sit in with holes top and bottom to drop the lock shaft through. Under the C is a section of steel tube that contains the lock for the locking shaft. This box protects the lock from bolt cutters and firearms.

I used to know the combo, but I don't have any pics.

They are nice gates.

They were cheap and easy to build, the hardest part was digging the holes for the posts

An auger doesn't work with rocks and boulders the size of a persons head, thats why it was difficult.
