2009 Meeting schedule

Postby JayZR2 » Wed Aug 27, 2008 5:08 am

Pat brought a few questionable dates for the 2009 schedule to my attention.
The Jan meeting would fall on 1/3. Being so close to New Years people may be away or still hung over. July is another one. 7/4 is the first Saturday of the month. So we could go early or late on that one.

Here's the break down of actual dates.
Questionable dates are in red.
Please post up if you want the dates moved, and what day you want it moved to.

1/3/2009 option is to move to 1/10/2009
3/7/2009
5/2/2009
7/4/2009 option is to move up to 6/27/2009 or back 7/11/2009
8/29/2009
11/7/2009

I would move July to 6/27. This will get the Fall Crawl on sale earlier.

Agree with moving July forward a week to 6/27. Don't really see a problem with 1/3/08.

Is there no interest in ever having a Sunday meeting?

Why are we moving the 1/3 meeting? Its not a 3 day weekend and most people aren't going to have significant funds for a trip right after Christmas.

Move the July meeting to 6/27, avoids having to meetings really close together (7/11 and 8/29)

Tim from Yankee Toys showed interest in possibly hosting the Nov meeting near Plymouth NH. He is going to let me know. If no one else steps up we will find a place.

My work has Friday 1/2/09 off. And I'm not saying we have to move it. I'm just checking with the majority.

I agree on the July meeting for selfish reasons..Emma's birthday is July 4th and the 11th would be right before the Truck Show if we keep it in July. So I like 6/27. Also I like Steve's point that it would allow us to put FC on sale earlier.

I think 1/10 is better for January but it really doesn't matter to me. Many people do end up taking that time off to travel and everything.
