List of Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler affected today....

Postby spalind » Thu May 14, 2009 8:29 pm

So today was the day Chrysler (or Fiat or whatever it will become) pulled the franchises of some 800 dealerships across the U.S. I figure most here would be interested in those Jeep dealerships that were affected and there were many in our area...I will list those in MA and NH here (as those are the ones I care about--even though I am not a Jeep or Chrysler/Dodge owner) and at the bottom is a link to the list in a sortable format to check your own state...

Basicly if you have your franchise revoked you will no longer receive new product and cannot sell vehicles under those brands (brand new ones that is). Many of these dealerships were on the verge of closing their doors already as I have dealt with a number of them personally in the past, but this effectively kills these businesses...

Gil's is going to remain a used car dealership/garage.

I did hear the dealerships on the list may have the opportunity to appeal the decision but no guarantee the decision will be reversed.

Today should be the day we find out what GM dealerships will get the ax...given that their is more of them, the list should be even longer...
