Jeep Wrangler Rentals

Postby tammylynn » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:21 am

I had someone e-mail us asking for info on Jeep Wrangler rentals in upper CT, lower MA. That is all I have for details right now. Anyone know of any reputable places I can pass along?

Most places don't rent Jeeps in the east.

Closest place I know of to rent a Wrangler is the beach in NC. They get like $250 an hour for them. All in the name of allowing tourist to drive on the beach.

I thought I read that they rent them on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard, no? Not that it helps this person any. I did find a link through Jeep where she can at least try a couple rental places known to rent Wranglers.

Bob White, I think it is $500 + per day. I can ask him. lol

The idea is brilliant, Spec Built Rubicons, guided tours.

Yes, they do. My wife and I rented on on Nantucket a number of years ago. It came with all required permits. We drove on the beach out to the lighthouse ~6 miles or so. They have an 'air-up' station at the entrance to the sand.

There were hard lines out there if you wanted them, and easy ones if you didn't. (Right Max )

Enterprise rents new Jeeps. I know a couple who rented a 4 door x and wheeled it. They took the extra insurance, beat it up, cleaned it up... and turned it back in.
