I know today is just an other day for yall but for me and a select few this day has alot of meaning 8 years ago today my unit crossed in to Iraqi to remove the dictator Saddam Hussien from power in Iraqi. In the process of doing so 3 soldiers from my company were lost

SFC Davis
Sgt Crockett was killed when an enemy RPG round enter his HMMWV and shrapel severed his jugular.
PFC Rockhold was killed when an enemy combatant in civilian closed walked up behind him while he was directing traffic and fired a 9mm pistol to the back of his head.
SFC Davis was killed when his HMMWV rolled over in to a small pond on the outskirts of Baghdad International Airport.
A year later I was again deployed on 20 March 2004 to Afghanistan during that deployment my battional lost 3 men

CPL Diaz
SPC Wells
CPL Gomez was killed when an IED exploded under the HMMWV he was driving. He was keep on life support in Germany till his Twin brother also a soldier to arrive
CPL Diaz was killed when the HMMWV he was riding in rolled over on top of him while conducting night operations along the Pakistan border.
SPC Wells was killed by enemy fire during an ambush. SPC Wells was returning to his observation post when the enemy attacked with small arms fire and RPG rounds. SPC Wells was killed by rounds received to his body.
These 6 men gave there all defending our right to go to the bar and drink beer, to go out and wheel our rigs as we see fit. So please take a moment out of your busy day and think of these men and there families.
