Last year we put together the calendar and sold around 50 of them and raised a couple hundred dollars, they came out pretty good but this year we are stepping it up, making it bigger and better and hoping to raise quite a bit more. We will be soliciting donations for raffle prizes and sponsorships later to lower the price and raise more money for the Land Acquisition Fund, more on that to come at a later date.

For now, we NEED pictures; rigs, event and group photos being requested. Please send them to Fitzgerald118@hotmail.com . In the email please put your name, club and brief description. Important**** Please do not compress the photos, send the original size. Anything too small will not work, I have found that anything over 1MB usually works best, if your not sure, send it over and I will let you know if its too small. Please have these submitted no later than 9/15.

We are looking to do some different things this year; it should be a great calendar. Feel free to reach out with any questions, please post this to your club forum.

Thanks Tim, for the reminder.

I spoke to Brendan earlier this week. It seems that the response and call for pictures netted far less than we both had hoped for. This coupled with some very distracting events (Sandy and work and our own issues within the NEA) that he and I agreed to regroup at a later date and put this aside for right now.

I was unable to find a reasonably priced print format for advertising and vendors, along with the flexibility for us to put all the info that we could have wanted on the calendar. Not to mention just plain feeling like (with a few exceptions ((Thanks)) there was a general lack of support whenever it was mentioned. The marketing part would have suggested that the clubs take 10 to resell in order to meet what some of the sponsors/vendors wanted for their money.

To summerize: No calendar planned at this time.

Future: good idea, need to find printer for a realtively small run of a customized calendars, get pricing, and reintroduce this when viable and everybody commits to taking them to sell them to members.

Alternative: Get your pics to any on line type calendar/photo printer and voila, you will a calendar with your favorite jeep pictures. Pencil in the GAJR, FC and my birthday.
