WANTED: Web development volunteer

Folks,

Our website appears to be fubar'd. Its built using wordpress but the installation has either been hacked or corrupted. The landing page does not display correctly and it is no longer possible to logon to the wordpress control panel. We are overdue for a refresh anyway.

Can we roundup a volunteer to build a new website? I don't think it needs to be as sophisticated as the current website. It looks like we may need to wipe out the existing wordpress install and start from scratch. Personally, I don't care what technology is used. Could be wordpress again or ??? I'd say the bare minimum is to stand up a new landing page that displays our mission, contact info, and links to member club sites. Everything else is gravy.

Who's the lucky one?????

Have you reached out to Jay? He worked with the previous company to set up this platform.

Yes, I have been in touch with Jay. He tried to get some support from the company a while ago but it did not work out well due to personnel changes and other factors. I'm sure we could get any company specializing in web development to do something for a fee. And we might need to go that route. That said, I think anybody with experience should be able to whip up a minimalist web site in less than a day. It would be great to have a volunteer step up to the plate.

Has the platform been compromised or is that still viable?

I don't know. Its definitely not possible to logon through the front end. We will need to logon through the hosting provider and manually muck around with the installation to figure out what is going on.

FYI: In April of 2011 we paid $1662.11 to have AndPlus Design redo our website.

Some photos. Not sure if it was an animated gif or some script cycling through an album.

I'm not sure if we can afford this (Paul?) with the upcoming potential purchase and costs but this is why we elected to hire a company to do it for us....

Please pardon my barging in, where are you/we at with this?
Has anyone looked at the Wordpress MySQL tables on your host to see if the Wordpress Admin Account login/password can be set anew?

Thank you, sir. Further discussion of this process will be sent to you via PM.

When the account access problem is resolved I'll let Eric know first then post back here so you people viewing this are updated as to progress.

Eric has a PM that includes a UN/PW for a Wordpress Admin account I created for him.
He will disperse any further information as he wishes.

I thought someone volunteered at the August meeting at Field and Forest?

If you don't have access, I suggest an officer contact andplus asking for all access points, i.e. usernames & passwords that they have. They don't owe you anything, but on the other hand they are morally, if not legally, obligated to provide you access to your web.

andplus
508-425-7533
1881 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701
info@andplus.com

I think I can help you out IF you can give me access.

I made a change that Eric requested and made a couple of obvious testing changes. I sent my findings and suggestions to Eric.
Technically at least, you are in OK shape.
