my jeep goes under the knife

I dropped my 05' off yesterday. Some of you guys remember my jeep. Well I ripped the breather tube off the rear 44 and sucked mud in..DOH** so the gears started whining, well I dropped it off to get 4:88's front and rear with detroit rear and ratchet locker in the front.. Hey its a big leap for me I cant wait to see the difference!!!

I am like a kid before christmas..lol I cant wait to see the difference I went from 3:73's to 4:88's with a 6 speed... I should get better gas mileage again on road and offroad I hopefully gained a ton of crawl ratio.. Maybe now I can try a few new trails in WW...lol

Dave's customs ended up doing it. Came out sweet although the rear detroit is very aggressive! chirpin and bangs when in and out.. I dont care though cause it is mint offroad! I have 33"s on right now and it tops out around 60 or so with a 6 speed but man is the crawl ratio cool, I can get out and check the air pressure while its rolling in low..lol Dave did a great job I'd recommend him to anyone!

My older Detroit has been good on turns, you have to either coast through or power through. Hitting the gas when you're driving straight and feeling the sideways jilt is always pretty cool too. 8) 8)

Nah. The 6 speeds only have a 4.x:1 1st gear. I still use 1st gear and it's 7.05:1 in my SM420.
