Tell El Dorado County Supervisor Ron Briggs To Keep the Rubicon Trail Open - Year Round
The National Off-Road Association (NORA) has just been made aware of information concerning the winter usage of the Rubicon Trail. Please call El Dorado County Supervisor Ron Briggs and let him know that you'd like the Rubicon Trail to remain open year round for OHV usage. Supervisor Briggs has been meeting with select individuals that are proposing a winter closure of the Rubicon Trail. These select individuals call it a "temporary restriction", which is another word for "closure".

Please be polite when making your phone call to Supervisor Briggs. Angry comments or vulgar words serve no purpose. A suggested statement is listed below:

I would like to make a comment to Supervisor Ron Briggs concerning the winter usage of the Rubicon Trail. Year round access of the Rubicon Trail is critical to the economic impact of many local businesses and employment opportunities in El Dorado County. I would like to request that the Rubicon Trail remain open year round for OHV usage.

In addition, the Rubicon Trail should remain open for all users, regardless of user type (4WD, Motorcycle, ATV & Snowmobile). Eliminating usage to a particular user group should not be considered an option."

All user groups of the Rubicon Trail should be included in any decisions concerning the future usage of the Rubicon Trail. Closing the Rubicon Trail for a select few is wrong.

Thank you!

CALL EL DORADO COUNTY SUPERVISOR RON BRIGGS @ (530) 621-6513.

Please note his secretary "Terry" will answer. If she doesn't answer, leave a message on her voicemail.
