A RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE ENTIRE STATE OF NH

Today is predicted to be a high class 4 statewide.

We'll have mostly sunny skies this today with increasing clouds this afternoon. Humidity will be low again today and winds will be moderate and gusty. That combined with the very low fuel moistures will cause dangerous fire conditions for a period this afternoon. Showers are on tap for tonight and tomorrow which will reduce the fire danger for tomorrow but the ground cover is still dry and everyone should use extreme care when out in the woods, on private properties, and traveling Class 6 roads. Please do not extinguish ANY cigarettes outside, the head can smolder in the dry debris for many hours or even a couple of days. There is a significant threat now with all of the fuel on the ground after the ice storm so please use extreme care.
