April Earthday clean up challenge

Postby PatriotJeep » Sun Jan 17, 2010 9:39 pm

April 23 is Earthday. I'd like to challenge ALL clubs to do a clean up
sometime in the month of April.

April 24th - Tombstone Trail Clean Up

* Volunteer needed to secure a dumpster donation
* Volunteer needed for heavy equipment to move rocks illegally blocking the road
* A4A Vehicle?
* Coordinate effort with RI DEM
* NEA4WD information booth?
* Volunteer needed for e-mail sign ups
* Food/Soft drinks?

Anything else we need? Custom NEA4WD tee shirts with special Earth Day Clean Up design or forget about shirts? Is there interest in something else for volunteers to purchase at cost or give-away or fundraiser?

Why not just post the information within the thread created for this road?

It is in a restricted area from the public

I don't think an NEA booth is necessary at a clean up. It would be a good opp. for a trail patrol though with people wearing their trail patrol shirts. You could push for people to purchase and wear the NEA tees we have for sale. We can provide a couple people with some NEA brochures and Trail Patrol brochures.

Someone at the cleanup should be assigned to collect details that can be used to write a Press Release.
