posting directions to trails

Postby jen » Wed Jul 20, 2005 11:32 am

It came to my attention that a NH 'club' (I am not sure if they are a legal entity anymore) has posted directions to several wheeling spots on their public website. Some of them are NOT public trails or even legal spots.
Anything legal we can do about this? I know that the owners of the site have no interest in cooperating voluntarily.

If we know when people are going to these illegal spot we have the local police waiting for them. First we need to strongly suggest the stuff be removed from the web site. We need to do safety patrols on these areas to see if their members are going there.

If you find out the landowners and let them know illegal wheeling is taking place on their land. If these landwoners will go to court then Fish and Game will prosecute the offendors.

I wish peer pressure would solve the problem.

I'm sure most of you saw this...it was posted on NEOW today:
After much consideration and conversations. We have decided to pull the spotz section of our website. And offer Our deepest apologies to those who were offended. The purpose of posting those spotz were malicious and unrewarding to all invovled. We are working to build a better relationship with the community from his day forth.

Interesting change of attitude? A step in the right direction...?

It does seem that they have realized the error of their ways.....I think we need to support them with positive input instead of negative badgering.

I am sorry but I am having a very hard time supporting a club that (as far as I know) is still incorporated and owned by a convicted child molester. I was an attempted member of the Z's just a month or two before it started blowing up. Most (including Mr. Granger) were very nice and helped introduce me to others in the 4wd community. Not the least of which was the infamous Preach. However having a 6 year old daughter, I find my tolerance for people with crimes against kids in non existant.

I truly hope the club succeeds but without Mr. Keegan having anything to do with it.

I'm sorry,
Scott Brown

there are better things to do with my limited time and energy. they've had more than enough chances with positive and negative feedback to get on the right track.

IMO the olive branch should be burned until further notice. but that's just me.

You are being fooled by the innocent sounding posts by SJZ under the original post made by Mikey on Z spot or similiar on NEOW.

I just ripped this from Z site

Tall and skinny but a little more filled out in the face than the last time I saw him (with my daughter with me).
