Stale cheerios much? :?

This is/was a place that at least three of our clubs frequented in the past.
I thought we may be concerned with the goings on there.

I was under the impression that he was dishonest and ran vehicles up there illegally (at some point). I do not know much about this person, but heard 'stay away' in just a few threads in past when Whittier/Dana/Mt. Madness came up.

Yes, it is a soap opera of rather epic proportions, one I am actually NOT involved in. DWE actually helped and cut trails up there because they thought this guy was running the place legit.

For Dana to come back and post that something is going on...something must have changed.....although I think most clubs have vowed never to deal with that guy again.

YT will not go back to Mt Whitteir/Maddness as long as Dana is around. Plane and simple. Its a great place to wheel but...does he REALLY have the towns permission? Does he Really have the land owners permission to use that property?

Well the simple way to solve that is to call the town and the landowner and ask them.

Doesn't solve his disreputable business practices however.

Dana is a lying sleezy person. He has no permission and will not be able to get permission. We should make sure our members do not go, because it is all illegal. He doesn't even have insurance. HE likes to change his mind on price at the last moment unless you sign a contract with him. I got him to sign a contract the last time NE4WI wheeled there.

I spoke to Mario once about Dana on the phone. Mario did not know that Dana was charging people to wheel on his property. I wish I kept his phone number. When you call the town hall they can give you his phone number. Mario owns the whole mountain.

Nope, still nothing...

I can offically confirm that Mt. Madness is still not legal. I had a conversation with the town Zoning Offical, Dave Senecem, a few hours ago. He was not aware that Dan was still trying to operate an OHV park again until this morning. He told me Dana does NOT have permits to run an OHV park. Dana has not applied at any time (including currently) for an ongoing permit or even for a special event. That means that even the pig roast trail run is illegal. The only thing he is permitted for is the skate park and BMX (bicycle) races. That's it. The Zoning Official is none to happy about this either. I'd watch for some fairly big outfall from this.

I bet the town calls Mario who owns the land. We need to make sure the event is closed down. Thanks for calling the town hall. The last time I got the pleasure of exposing that liar Dana.
