It is with profound sadness that the NEA Board of directors announce the passing of our current president, Eric Weybrant.
Eric’s knowledge of the NEA and the business of the Off-Road community was unprecedented. He always wanted to do what was right for the organization, and fought for members of the NEA to better our sport in moving our cause forward. He spent years building his ultimate buggy, but was happy as anyone could be walking the trails while others drove, and he gave pointers, with a smile larger than his personality. His knowledge of vehicles and their dynamics in the woods was a treasure, and he enjoyed sharing it with anyone who had a question.
Anyone that had the pleasure of sharing a drink around the fire, will never forget at least one incredible story about him. He had a larger than life personality and character that never wanted to waste a moment not doing something he was passionate about. We all learned something from him, hopefully we can continue to pass along that knowledge, and stories about him to honor his legacy.
Our sincerest condolences are with his many friends and family, but especially his most prized creation and wheeling partner, his daughter Rowan.
Eric, until we see you again, may you Rest In Peace.
