Looking for a Club..

Postby Tobit » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:13 pm

Hi folks,

I am a newbie wheeler looking to join my first club. I hit the trails yesterday with a group from ExploringNH.com and had a blast. I am an admitted Jeep "enthusiast", for a polite word, and would ideally like to find an NEA4WD member club with a strong Jeep membership who ride in VT, NH, and/or Maine. There are currently a couple groups I am following but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I drive a 2003 Wrangler X. Just installed 31" Mickey Thompson MTZ's this week and had a blast on the trails yesterday with a group from ExploringNH. I will soon be installing a 2.5 ~ 3" lift, most of the parts have been procured.. I just need a few more parts before installation can begin.

My real name is JT. Thanks.

JT,
Where you are in Manchester you have a huge selection of clubs to choose from. Spend some time with each of their websites to get a feel for their vibe.

Most clubs, can't speak for all, will allow a prospective member to join them on a run before they commit to joining. Don't be afraid of being the new guy, we were all newbies once.

Also, applaud that you want to join with a club after being on the trails only once. :hello:

The minute my Mickey Thompsons hit the trail, I knew I was hooked. I am super anxious to get the new suspension installed now.

There's a handy dandy listing of the clubs here with a little info about each one:

Ok before we take to arms. Dana had posted their GTD event in a thread where someone was looking for a club to join. No harm in that we've all done it. After the second post was made I sent Dana a pm asking him not to post the same event in each thread but he was more than welcome to post it in the public events section. I didn't see the need to delete the other two posts though. So lets just pack it up and move on.

From my own personal view, posting and highjacking another club's thread is poor etiquette and spam. By all means, post up about your club and your own event in a new thread, I think we all want to know more about other clubs in the area.

My thoughts and views are my own and not reflective of the NEA or any other institution
