i would suggest looking into some of the clubs
most have runs atleast once a month, know where the legal trails are, and have permission to run private property also

There are no legal state land to drive in MA. There are very few unmaintained chapter 90 roads to drive on. These are in Western MA only. There is private land to use with landowner permission. The easiest and best way to get the use of permissioned land is to join one of our member clubs.

Welcome to the board Ram! As you can see, locations in Massachusetts are fairly scarce. Most publicly accessible trails are in fact out west, past Worcester.

The advice given to join a club is probably the best way to gain access to numerous trails. That includes many private land holdings that clubs or the NEA may have access to. Without knowing your exact location, a few clubs I can suggest in the MA area are: New England 4 Wheelers, Freedom TrailRiders, and Jonfund. All three of them are non-make specific. There are others but they're Jeep only club. (Check out the Member Club listing for some of their websites)

Of course all these clubs are great choices, and we're always looking for more people dedicated to responsible land use, land access rights, and helping find more land we can access (Public or Private). So settle in, get comfy, and hope to see you on a trail soon.

Check out Old Florida Road in MA. That is one that's still open and pretty fun. Old Chester Road is another.
