2nd Annual Go Topless Day - May 9th, 2009

Postby All Things Jeep » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:59 pm

Just putting the date out there now so it doesn't interfere with any other good stuff going on in the area.

Like last year, we'll have 1000s of Jeepers participating worldwide but this year, it will have MORE! More prizes, more freebies, more Jeeps, etc.

Locally, we'll use the same venue as last year - a big old parking lot outside a farm stand in Lancaster, MA. More details to follow and if you ask him nice, maybe Scott Hatch will saw the top off a Hummer this year.

Just to recap the topless XJ last year...

Norm has reached out to us for some help in pulling this event off. We need about 12 volunteers to assist that day, mostly with parking. That will allow people to work in shifts and not have to miss the whole event.
With everything ATJ does for the NEA, and 25 full member clubs, and 2 provisional it should be no problem to get 12 people to give up an hour or 2 for an event they will already be at anyway.
If your interested post up here.

It would be great if you wanted to set up a booth. In fact, any club that wants to is welcome to set up a table. If you email me and let me know that you will be doing that, I will add the club name / URL to our growing list of participants.

Still looking for some volunteers for this. Anyone who is planning on going, we only need you for a couple hours. Primarily to help with parking. The idea is to get 12 people to work 2 hour shifts and spread the work around so we a handful of people don't have to sacrifice their whole day and can enjoy the event too.

The details are that the more Go Topless Day tees / sweats we sell, and the more people buy raffle tickets for all the cool raffles, the more money we will donate to NE4WD. It isn't a money maker for us. More about the fun. But we hope to hand over the profits

I have an appointment at the location tomorrow with the property manager. We're deciding placement and stuff for an all-out obstacle course. I'm hoping to have something for everyone on the course, from stockers to those that want to crush a car.

We'll have at least one RTI ramp.

The food is going to be AWESOME! Even if you have a toyota, come for the food!!

If anyone has a list of e-mails for volunteers already, please send them my way. We need parking volunteers now. I need to know how many we have ASAP and a way to communicate with them before the event. A couple of clubs are getting pretty involved, but nothing beats a solid list of volunteers.

Anyway, dude, bring it at 2 or whenever today.

Also seemed to work well with promoting the Rally. Definatly going to have to hit all the shows this year with a GAJR booth.
