You should expect to see local rock crawlers, friends and family competing against each other over some of the toughest man made obstacles around to bring a new light on the fastest growing motor sport in the country. These are timed events with the winner having the fastest Overall times, being penalized only for hitting race markers.

This is Rock Crawling in fast forward with table tops, berms and rhythm sections that will shake your fillings loose. "You'll pay for the whole seat but you'll only need the edge!"

The dates are as followed:

June 12th-Cheshire Fair Grounds (Home of the Boulder Bash)

July 17th-Cheshire Fair Grounds (home of the Boulder Bash)

August 14th/15th-Trail Riders Expo "The sturgis of off roading" as said by ATV Action Magazine

September 25th/26th-A place that needs no introduction.... The Beast Of The North East.... VERMONSTER4X4 Fall Festival.

&
Safety Guidelines

North East Rock Racing Series primary interest is to enhance safety for spectators and participants as well as promote rock crawling as a motor sport. NERRS makes no representations, expressions, or implies that compliance with the rules and regulations will guarantee against injury, damage, or even death to spectators, participants, and vendors. These rules and regulations constitute the minimum acceptable standards for competition and are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport. The primary responsibility for safe condition and operation of rock crawling competition rests on the vehicle owner, driver, and spotter. Everyone associated with the sport of rock crawling must share the total responsibility for the competition. Rock crawling is an inherently dangerous sport. Each competitor assumes that risk when he/she participates in the event. Think safety first.

Track officials of the North East Rock Racing Series reserves the right to modify the rules and regulations for safety, environmental, and any other valid reasons at any time during the event.


Liability and indemnity waiver

NERRS reserves the right to require all individuals competing in the event to sign a Liability and indemnity waiver prior to being admitted into any area of the competition.



Each participant of the event acknowledges the following while competing:

1) That he/she will at all times while riding in the vehicle will wear his/her approved seatbelt and DOT approved helmet.

2)That the owner/driver certifies that he/she has inspected their vehicle and certifies it to be in safe good mechanical condition

3)That he/she has informed him/herself and spotter to all rules and safety regulations set in place by NERRS and has attended the drivers meeting.

4)That the driver or any other person participating in the event may at anytime bypass any obstacle or area they feel uncomfortable or unsafe driving through.

5)That driver and spotter is at least 18 years of age.

6) That driver/spotter must attend drivers meeting prior to event

7) That driver/spotter must wear suitable footwear. No open toed shoes.

8 ) That spotter is not allowed to touch vehicle while wheels are in motion.

9) That all fluid leaks will earn you a time out until the problem is resolved. You will not be able to continue until then.

10)Spotters will not be allowed to wrap rope or straps around any portion of his/her body during the event.







Modified Stock Class

Vehicle requirements

Modified stock class is intended for well-built trail vehicle modified using readily available aftermarket parts. The intent of this class is to stay within factory designs to showcase the ability of stock type trail rigs. Any rules or restrictions needed to maintain the spirit of this class will be implemented.

All axles must be mechanically differentiated. No hydrostatic drives.
No Rear steering axles
Both differentials must use some form of 100% locking device.
No portal axles will be allowed unless stock from factory.
No Coil-Over shocks are allowed.
Body must be full bodied OEM factory recognizable trail rigs. No tube body built off OEM frame. Some trimming of body is allowed such as fenders and corner panels. There is to be no trimming of hood, rockers, cowl, or firewall. No expanded mesh, lexan, or plexi-glass cut outs will be allowed on flooring or firewall.
Frame must be OEM type. No tube or partial tube frames are allowed.
Power Steering must be stock configuration. Hydraulic assist is allowed. Full hydraulic steering is not allowed.
Suspensions must be stock configuration design. Example: leaf from factory. Leaf for competition/ IFS or ,3 or 4 link from factory. IFS or, 3 or 4 link for competition.
Tire Size is 38? or smaller based on manufactures sidewall stamping. All DOT approved tires will be allowed. No Competition Compound or agricultural/tractor tires will be allowed in this class.
Full Roll Cage is required. OEM bars are approved with built on front hoop.
Battery Tie downs (No bungee cords or ratchet type tie downs)
Functional seat belts
Fire Extinguisher
Front and Rear points of attachment
Operational Winch
Winch weight
Coolant over flow canister

UNLIMITED CLASS
Vehicle requirements

The Unlimited class is intend for the most aggressive vehicles in the 4WD community today. Anything goes in the class. You can run whatever size tire you like because your probably too over built to run in the Modified Stock class. The only restriction for this class is that your vehicle must meet all the safety requirements.

Full roll cage or full body/cab
Full locking Differentials
Winch and winch weight
Battery tie down (No bungee cords or ratchet type tie downs)
Seat belts
Front and rear points of attachment
Coolant overflow canister
Fire Extinguisher
Mufflers are required


Points, Penalties & Payout



Each vehicle driver pays $40 per scheduled event day. 75% of driver entry fee goes toward the days event purse. 25% driver entry fee is put into the series purse awarded at the final race to the driver with the highest series points total on top of the final event purse.


Series Points

Drivers will receive series points based on their performance during individual series events.

1. 100 series points for finishing event first position

2. 90 series points for finishing event second position

3. 80 series points for finishing event third position

4. 70 series points for finishing event fourth position

5. 60 series points for finishing event fifth position

6. 50 series points for finishing event sixth position

7. 40 series point for finishing event seventh position

8. 30 series points for finishing event eighth position

9. 20 series points for finishing event ninth position

10. 10 series points for finishing event tenth positition

11. 50 series points for successfully completing course bonus obsical

12. 20 series points for successfully completing the course without hitting course markers

Event Scoring


1. Driver with the fastest time through the course wins

2. Each cone/course marker hit will result in 30 seconds added to your over all time

3. Successfully completing Bonus Obstacle will deduct 30 seconds off your over all time.

4. Obstacles skipped will result in 90 seconds added to your overall time in addition to mandatory bonus obstacle completion with 0 bonus obstacle time/series points awarded.
