Subject: Sylvester Road Cleanup - April 17
The annual Sylvester Road Cleanup is scheduled for April 17th and we are looking for help to clean this section of Leeds. Four years ago our small group of four wheelers started helping out de-trash the small stretch of road from the last house on Sylvester Road to Chesterfield Road. This year it is my hope to have enough people to expand the cleanup onto Chesterfield Road.
All volunteers should meet at the wheeling trail entrance (the rock face) on Sylvester Road at approximately 9:00 a.m. This is approximately 1/3 of a mile from Chesterfield Road on Sylvester Road. Volunteers should bring gloves and a few trash bags. A dumpster will be available for all trash collected.
We really appreciate the help and the environment appreciates a good cleansing. If you can help, please Facebook me or call if you have any questions. (413-695-4015)

Thank you,

Don Willard

Hey! Can you PM me directions? My friends and I were looking for a place to wheel, we follow tread lightly principles and never drink and drive, honest to god. :paul:

Ok, will do.

And... what if this was an NEA event or clean-up? Would that mean that we would need to wait to attend?

Everyone please remember this is a *public* forum.

The trail name should probably be edited out of the few posts above, at least, or the explicit directions to the trailhead in the first post.

I love that Don Willard does this for the local residents but I hate hate hate public trail cleanups, nothing good comes of them. :?

Trail names aren't/wouldnt be posted on public section on my forum either. We dont allow it for the same reasons as the NEA doesnt like it.

Dave, if you're looking for something to do that day, JonFund is having the land use class with Scott Hatch, Tread Lightly with Robin from NEJEEP and some hand outs we solicited.

If you want to help, this class was developed for you. Teach a man to fish, and all that.

yea Mike I saw that too! I really want to do that! It looks like some of my guys from the club will be doing the clean up so I was considering this Land Use class for me. I think it would be beneficial.
