No registration necessary. Just show up. If there are people willing to volunteer it would be nice to know that ahead of time in the Poker Run volunteer thread.

We have a guy running 30's on a Grand Cherokee that wants to attend the poker run. He's an experienced wheeler. Is that going to be a problem?

He should be OK. I've run them with a stock JK no sweat.

This assumes off road tires, not summer tires...

We have requirements for a reason. I don't mean that to be rude, but unfortunately we've had enough instances where things went wrong that we need to have them in place. That said, if you have a guy with your group that does not meet the requirements...I would say if you think his rig is pretty capable and he/she is a capable driver...you make the call but understand you are responsible for that person. That responsibility includes getting them off the trail/out of the way when they have an epic fail and everyone is pissed at you for bringing "that guy"! Keep in mind we never know what the conditions are going to be like. We just got approx. 2' of snow dumped on most of the roads we will be running. Granted, most, if not all, will be melted by the time we run but one never knows. If nothing else everything is going to be wet and sloppy which we all know increases the difficulty a bit.
At a minimum there needs to be solid front/rear recovery points!

Any news on the trails? Is this going to be a Poker Run or a Snow Run with poker?

There is still a good bit of snow on the ground here in wooded areas.

We're not serving food but if anyone would be interested there is a local Chinese place and a Pizza place that we could go to after, assuming we end at a decent time.

Quick note for those attending:

I was informed this afternoon that a new roof is being put on the Fish & Game building and there is some construction so we cannot use the building for safety reasons. Please still plan on staging the vehicles in the parking area but we will be using the Beard's home for check-in and for a restroom. They have offered this and did not budge when I tried to make sure they knew what they were opening themselves up to. So, not that I should have to say this but please respect their home and the grounds since they have been so kind to offer us the use of their personal space! Weather permitting, I am sure we will do as much as we can outside so as to not invade them.

Thanks.

Just dropped off the food to the Hillsborough Food Pantry. They're only open Tuesday evenings from 5pm-7pm unless I wanted to make a specific appointment. They were pretty busy so I didn't have them weigh the donation or anything. They were very appreciative of the donation and I told them there is also a check coming for approx. $330. There were approx. 20 bags of cans, pasta, mac 'n' cheese, etc.
Pretty humbling experience to drop off the donation and see the people who were there to get their "groceries". :(

Thanks to everyone who came out to the run and for your donations!
