Go Topless Day will be returning to the grounds of the Quaboag Riders M/C in Monson, MA on Saturday May 17th, 2014. Anybody who was there last year knows that this was a great event and with a significantly expanded trail system 2014 promises to be even better.

As always, clubs are invited to set up a booth free of charge. Last year only 3 clubs had booths. GTD is a great opportunity to recruit new members into our community so hopefully we will see more club booths this year. If anybody knows commercial vendors who might be interested in attending then please let us know. All are welcome.

Anybody who is interested in setting up a booth should send an email to gtd2014@oceanstatejeepsters.org

Delegates please cross-post to your clubs.

NTC would like a booth next door to CentralMassOffroad if possible. I sent an e-mail to link above but have not yet received a response.
Thanks.

Less than six weeks to go and all the pieces are falling into place.

The trails are in great shape including an expanded difficult trail and brand new extreme trail. The raffle table continues to grow and includes a Superwinch, $500 gift certificate from Mickey Thompson, TJM recovery kit, Ruff Stuff diff cover and many, many more items. The vendors who will be on site include All Things Jeep, Central Mass Offroad, Clayton Offroad, Jeep Tweaks, Offroad Elements, Smiths 4x4, and more. We also have some non-profit organizations including Crawling for a Cure, Maine 4x4 Warrior Salute, East Coast Offroad Jeepers of CT, and Northeast Toyota Crawlers. So far there is only NEA club signed on.

Stay tuned for further updates. In the mean time here is section from the new extreme trail. There is plenty of trailer parking. Bring your buggy and help break this trail in.

Sixteen days to go!

Final preparations are underway and this is shaping up to be another great event. So far the only clubs that have booths are Northeast Toyota Crawlers and East Coast Offroad Jeepers of CT. Great American Jeep Rally and Crawling for a Cure will also be there. With over ten commercial vendors also on the list space is running short but we can squeeze in a couple more club booths. Now is the time to speak up.

Raffle items continue to flow in with the latest additions including a recovery kit courtesy of Warn and a JK front bumper from Smutzler Industries.

One more day!

Forecast is calling for showers early with some sun later in the day. This is where we separate the men from the boys (or the women from the girls!)

Come on out and become part of history instead of reading about it later!!

If your boyfriend doesn't want to drive solo or because there's some rain, you might have a girlfriend.

On behalf of Ocean State Jeepsters, All Things Jeep, and the Quaboag Riders M/C I would like to thank everyone who helped make GTD 2014 a successful event. The rain was still pouring at 5:00 am but the skies were blue when the gates opened at 9:00 am and we were treated to a gorgeous day. When all was said and done we counted over 600 Jeeps entering the facility.

In addition to All Things Jeep the vendors included Clayton Offroad, Central Mass Offroad, Jeepin' Stuff, Cutting Edge Graphics, Dragline Offroad, Jeep Tweaks, Offroad Elements, Paul Baileys Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Smiths 4x4, and All Parts Racing. The list of organizations at the event included Crawling for a Cure, Great American Jeep Rally, Northeast Toyota Crawlers, Maine 4x4 Warrior Salute, and East Coast Offroad Jeepers of CT.

Many other companies made generous donations to the raffle including Superwinch, Crown Automotive, Poison Spider, Tom Woods, Snap-On, Ruff Stuff, Warn, Mickey Thompson, Firestik, and Angry Offroad.

Trail rides were one of the event highlights and feedback so far has been positive. This was no small feat when you consider that Mother Nature dealt us a wild card in the form of heavy rain the night before the event. Trail 1 (Easy) was able to remain on schedule all day with groups of 20 departing every half hour. Midway through the day we did have to reroute the tail end of Trail 1 when vehicles started getting stuck in the mud. Trail 2 (Difficult) was more challenging to manage. Under normal conditions rigs with 33's-35's and a locker could get through with perhaps the occasional tug. With the hillside saturated by rain the first obstacle at the entrance to Trail 2 became virtually impassable forcing us to reroute the trail before the event started. It did not get any easier from there and basically became a free-for-all. Lots of carnage. You know it was a good day when many more vehicles leave on trailers than arrived on trailers! We were also pleased to see a handful of buggies show up to test out Trail 3 (Extreme) which was new this year.

THANK YOU again to everyone who showed up! Events such as this strengthen our community and we are thrilled to be a part of it.

See you in 2015!!
