Meetings, Meetings, Meetings...

Thank God I have an understanding wife...
I'm pushing the 4:1 ratio for meetings versus Wheeling or working on my rig...
This week:
Mon- RIOHVA e-board meeting, 7:30pm-9:00pm
Tue- RI TAC Motorized subcommittee, 8:30am-10:30am
Sat- NEA meeting, whenever to whenever....
and this is a LIGHT meeting schedule week. In the weeks to come, the RIOHVA quarterly-meeting is going to require about 6hrs worth of meetings ahead of time, the PR work necessary to prepare for the publicity that the RI TAC request for proposal will generate will take about another 10 hours, and then there's the ordinary TAC work and chit-chat on the boards.
I'm ready for a vacation; I may take up fishing...

I completely sympathize with you Bob. I haven't wheeled since last year but I've gone to plenty of meetings

I need to get my Jeep running THEN I can wheel :banghead:
Seriously, the intent of moving the meetings around was two fold
First and most importnatly give the members traveling 2+ hours a reason and reward of wheeling after a meeting.
Second to get the meetings closer to some of the delegates and members that typically drive long distancee

You will be making a Quadrajet fit a Clifford 258 intake manifold. I already did such a conversion, but I had a Clifford produced adapter. I can be made to fit. The Qjet you are using went on a 1980 Buick Century Turbo v6.

Thanks Dom, now I need to crawl through my rig and see how bad it is
FYI this is a trail rig and I'm only concerned about the mechanics.....the rot monster has had its way with my poor girl. There is probably more fiberglass then orginal steel.

You coming Steve? I could really use your "expert" knowledge on the QJet

If today were Saturday yes. I hope to be functional this Saturday. After all everybody that shows up has to buy winch raffle tickets. Do you have the accelerator cable that I made fit? The main issue with a qjet on a 258 is the accelerator cable length. Also a stock GM Qjet does not have a fuel return line.

No, how much, what type, and where can I get one?

The problem we have to overcome is a GM carb with a Chrysler setup. I bought the cable off the shelf at Autozone. I do not remember the part number anymore. I might remember it if were to look at all the cables in an Autozone.
