NEA4WDC Newsletter

Postby tammylynn » Fri Jan 26, 2007 2:15 pm

I know we have some writers out there in the community and if you are one of them we can always use content for the newsletter. The goal is to get out at least four newsletters per year so you can send me articles anytime! Here are some of the articles we are looking for:

Trail Reports
Club Event News
Stories about what you, your club, or someone you know is doing for the sport
Tech Articles

You get the idea. Anything wheeling related.
Send your articles to tammyllucke@verizon.net

Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Tammy, when do you need the articles for the next Newsletter by?

I am not a writer but would like to put something together about FTR's Relay for Life Team and the Powder Puff Trail Ride we are planning as a fundraiser.

Thanks,
-Stacey

P.S. Thanks for the heads up on this Roger!

I'd like to get the current newsletter out in the next couple of weeks so if you could get something to me by Feb. 10th that would be cool! The sooner the better. And if you get me something to work with I can do the editing.

FTR Relay for Life/Powder Puff Trail Ride Article

Postby MzOzzieTJ » Fri Feb 09, 2007 7:23 am

Tammy, I am so sorry for not getting this to you sooner. I have been working on preparing for the Tread Lightly Seminar tomorrow.

Here is my draft... feel free to edit as needed. I had put a draft together for press releases for local papers so the target audience is different than the NEA target audience.

Four-Wheeling for a Cure

Freedom TrailRiders (FTR), a local, non-profit, four-wheel drive club
based in Southern New England has put together a team for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Bridgewater, MA. This event will celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives and help those who have been touched by cancer. The Relay for Life is on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16 at the Bridgewater State College Swenson Field.

To raise money for the cause, the club has a few other fundraising
activities planned. One such activity is the “Freedom TrailRiders Powder
Puff/Drag Trail Ride for Cancer” on Sunday, June 3. This trail ride will
take riders who are either female, or dressed like a female, with properly
equipped four-wheel drive vehicles off-road for a fun-filled day of
excitement.

If you would like to join the FTR Relay for Life team or participate in the fundraising trail ride, please visit their website at http://www.freedomtrailriders.org. If you would like to make a donation to the team in support of the American Cancer Society, please visit the team's Relay for Life site at http://tinyurl.com/yytznc.

Tammy, I also created a flyer (http://www.freedomtrailriders.org/events/Relay07/2007ACSFlyer.pdf) which has more details about the Relay for Life if you need more information.

I promise to check back today so post up if you need anything else. Thanks so much for the reminder and for your help!

:D

If you need additional articles, we are also hosting the Tread Lightly Awareness Seminar scheduled for tomorrow in Foxboro, MA. It's too late for folks to enroll but it would be good PR for the NEA clubs. Let me know.

Some details:
There are currently 26 people from various 4-wheel drive clubs including Freedom Trail Riders, Cape Cod Jeep Club, New England Jeepz, JonFund, TTORA, and Bay State Rover Owners Association registered. Three members of the FTR Board of Directors are facilitating the 3-hour seminar.

The webpage for registration has more details: http://www.freedomtrailriders.org/events/TL07/TL_0207.htm

Let me know if you want more info.

Thanks again!
